The RISK trash-talking begins.

How serious are we taking this RISK-thing? So serious that several members of GCI are beginning to talk trash and send propaganda to each other in hopes of winning the all-important mental game of war!

T.R. says, "Soon I will recapture the Northwest Territory from Swithun and Charley's army will suffer defeat by my Cavalry in Alberta!!"

TIM is shown in one of his victories from this past Thursday.

Tim meets his muse.

So. Last night, right? I was out shopping at Best Buy when the cashier asked me if I was in Geva Comedy Improv. Turns out the cashier was at our last theatre sports show; his girlfriend Samantha was an audience volunteer for our game, "Day in the Life," and I actually played him...the word Samantha used to describe him? "Funny." So, here you go, buddy - a picture of me...uh...being you. Miming a book bag over my shoulder and being "Funny."

"We need to fortify Siam."

In an effort to further group mind, GEVA COMEDY IMPROV has begun a match of unfettered skill and strategy: Risk! This evening, in lieu of rehearsal, the members sat around the mighty board and hacked away at each other in round one of a game that will no doubt take the rest of the season to complete. At the end of round one, it seemed CHARLEY was amassing an army that looked quite unmatched, but SWITHUN reclaimed all his lost lands...who will win? Was fortifying Siam a smart move on PAUL NELLIS and ARTHUR'S part? Will TIM eat all that leftover pizza? Stay tuned...

Here's how it went down:
1. BRIAN took SIAM from PAUL NELLIS.
2. TIM took MADAGASCAR from PAUL NELLIS.
3. TIM took SOUTHERN EUROPE from BRIAN.
4. T.R. took ALASKA from SWITHUN.
5. SWITHUN defended ALBERTA from T.R.
6. PAUL NELLIS took CHINA from BRIAN.
7. PAUL NELLIS took SOUTHERN EUROPE from TIM.
8. CHARLEY took the EASTERN UNITED STATES from SWITHUN.
9. CHARLEY took ALBERTA from SWITHUN.
10. CHARLEY took ONTARIO from SWITHUN.
11. SWITHUN took QUEBEC from CHARLEY.
12. SWITHUN took ONTARIO from CHARLEY.
13. SWITHUN took the NORTHWEST TERRITORY from T.R.

The board at the beginning of play! SWITHUN - red, CHARLEY - yellow, T.R. - grey, TIM - black, PAUL & ARTHUR - blue, BRIAN - green.

CHARLEY readies the troupe to ready their troops.

Pictures from our last weekend! Thanks, Mr. Leas!

Our website continues to undergo renovations - who knew there was so much electricity involved - so here are a few pictures from our old friend Kevin Leas, taken during our last weekend of shows. Looks like fun, doesn't it?
